Christmas tree production

You have probably heard about the Danish fairy tale writer H.C. Andersen. But what does he have to do with the production of Christmas trees? Actually he once wrote a fairy tale about a little pine tree. The pine tree had a lovely sunny spot in forest and year after year the tree grew bigger and more beautiful, but it was always all the other trees that were cut down every year around Christmas time. But then one year the pine tree was the first to fall.

Besides from the moral of the story the fairy tale explains what a slow process it is to produce Christmas trees. Especially if you want to produce the best and most beautiful trees, it takes time and a lot of hard work.

At Kistrup Nordmann it is our passion to produce high-quality Christmas trees, which will take around 11 years for the small plant to grow into a big well-shaped Christmas tree.
